Fuzichoco

Fuzichoco (藤ちょこ, b. Chiba Prefecture, Japan) is an illustrator based in Tokyo. She studied oil painting at Tama Art University and has worked across light novels, trading card games, social games and VTuber design. Her credits include the illustrations for the light novel series The Eighth Son? Are You Kidding Me? (八男って、それはないでしょう!), the main visual for Hatsune Miku Magical Mirai 2020, card art for Magic: The Gathering and the character design of the Nijisanji VTuber Rize Helesta.

Her pictures are built from bright, translucent colour, Japanese and East Asian motifs and densely detailed backgrounds organised around deep perspective. The saturated palette that defines her work gave her first art book its title, Gokusai Shoujo Sekai (2015), and runs through the later collections Saigenkyou (2020) and Shukusai Junrei (2025). She also gives live-painting demonstrations, mostly at art schools, and has co-written technique books on fantasy illustration.

Fuzichoco has exhibited in Tokyo since her first solo show in 2012, most recently in a large exhibition organised with Dai Nippon Printing at Seibu Shibuya in 2026. Fuzichoco's work is presented in Europe by Tokiol.
